Pricing

$5/mo

starts the privacy plan. $12 unlocks bank sync. That's the whole pricing page.

You pay us. Advertisers don't. Plus comes with a 30-day free trial — no credit card required. Switch any time. Cancel any time.

Arden has two paid tiers, both billed monthly or annually, both with full feature access on data already in the system. Privacy is $5/month or $50/year — manual and CSV/XLSX/OFX/QFX import only, no Plaid, no bank linking. Plus is $12/month or $120/year — everything in Privacy plus Plaid bank account, investment, and liability sync. Plus ships with a 30-day free trial that requires no credit card; Privacy ships with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Both tiers include envelope budgeting, net worth tracking, investment holdings, scheduled transactions, reports, smart transaction review, and alerts. Full CSV and JSON export is always available, including after cancellation. There is no free tier — and that's deliberate. Free finance apps are monetized through ads, lender referral fees, or data sales. Arden's revenue model is the subscription, which means the people using the product are the customers, not the product.

Common questions

Before you sign up.

Why two tiers?
Plaid bank sync costs us a per-account monthly fee. Charging the same $12 to a CSV-only user as a multi-bank user would mean CSV users subsidize bank-syncing users. The two prices reflect what each plan actually costs us to run.
Can I switch tiers later?
Yes — anytime, from the billing portal in Settings. Switching from Privacy to Plus is immediate and prorated. Switching down from Plus to Privacy takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Your data and connected accounts stay through the switch.
Is there a free trial?
Plus comes with a 30-day free trial — no credit card required to start. If you add a card before day 30, your trial converts to $12/mo. If you don't, your account stays — Plaid sync pauses, your data stays put, and you can pick a tier any time. Privacy ($5/mo) is upfront-pay with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Whichever fits.
What happens if I cancel?
Your access continues to the end of your current billing period. After that, you can still log in to download a CSV or JSON export of all your data — forever, even months after canceling. If you come back later, your data is waiting.
Why not free?
Two reasons. First, every "free" personal finance app makes its money somewhere — usually selling spending data to lenders or ad networks. We won't. Second, charging even a small amount means we can answer support emails from real users instead of supporting freeloaders. $5/mo for the privacy plan is meant to be friction-low while still being a real product.
I don't want to share my bank login. Will the Privacy plan really let me use the full app?
Yes. Privacy includes envelope budgeting, net worth tracking with manual snapshots, manual investment holdings, CSV import, all reports, the monthly review email, and the iOS app. The only difference is bank linking — the Privacy plan never asks for a bank credential.
