Changelog

What shipped, when.

Every meaningful change to Arden, dated and described. The audit trail for what's actually in the product.

  1. Shipped

    Marketing site rebuild

New editorial identity — Instrument Serif display, Geist body, Editorial Indie palette (Vellum / Ink / Moss / Hearth). Six pages rewritten, /why and /changelog and /brand added. Light + dark mode hand-tuned independently.

  2. Changed

    Privacy-first positioning overhaul

New brand thesis: Arden works without a bank login, doesn't sell your data, and lets you export everything any time. Six "we'll never" commitments are now first-class — written, dated, and linked from every page.

  3. Shipped

    CSV import sign convention

Sign-flip toggle now ships with a 2-row live preview so you confirm direction before commit. Indicator-mode CSVs (Dr/Cr columns, used by Navy Federal and some credit unions) are detected automatically.

  4. Shipped

    Tracking-account register + transfers

Tracking accounts (cash, vehicles, real estate) now have inline registers and proper transfer support. Inline payee transfers create the paired transactions automatically.

  5. Fixed

    Transactions: payee dropdown stability

Fixed two cases where the add-transaction form would close unexpectedly: clicking inside the payee dropdown, and when the click target was already removed from the DOM by an inline edit.

  6. Shipped

    Investments: live prices via Finnhub

Stock and ETF prices now refresh from Finnhub at render time. Manual prices remain the source of truth; live prices override on display only — no DB writes.

Older entries are in the git history. Arden is built in the open.
